Cohorts

Self-study works for the disciplined few. For everyone else, the difference between starting a curriculum and finishing one is other people. Cohorts run the full curriculum in eight weeks with a group of peers, expert support, and a concrete deliverable at the end.

How it works

Weekly rhythm

Work through assigned curriculum layers at your own pace (10-15 minutes a day), plus an article-of-the-day discussion with your cohort. Everything is asynchronous; nothing requires showing up at 3pm on a Tuesday.

Expert access

A standing Q&A thread with energy experts, plus optional live sessions. Ask the question you'd be embarrassed to ask in a hearing prep meeting.

AI-augmented analysis workshop

A midpoint working session on using AI tools to pull, validate, and analyze energy data. The skill that separates analysts who cite numbers from analysts who check them.

Published capstone

Every member ships one piece of analysis or an op-ed by the end, with editing and expertise support. You leave with a byline, not a certificate.

DC summit

A closing half-day in Washington: short talks and a room full of people who now speak the same technical language. The cohort you finish with is the network you keep.

For offices & partner organizations

Your staff brief decision-makers on energy legislation. A cohort gives them genuine technical foundations in eight weeks, on a schedule that survives hearing season, at no cost to your office. You get progress data, a more capable team, and analysts who can evaluate witness claims instead of transcribing them.

Fellowship programs and training organizations can run a cohort as a module inside an existing program. We handle curriculum, assessment, and editorial support; you bring the people.
